COLLABORATION WITH TAYLOR’S UNIVERSITY

A signing ceremony held to witness a partnership between Kuala Lumpur Metro Group and Taylor’s University, Under which, students of its School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts will have the opportunity to work at Lexis’s resorts to undertake research work in the area of hotel management, marketing and human resources.

The commitment to corporate social responsibility is an important priority to Kuala Lumpur Metro Group, its CSR initiatives include funding of charitable activities, promoting education, sport and related programs, helping the needed and underprivileged.

SPORT SPONSORSHIP

Kuala Lumpur Metro Group is the main sponsor of the Negeri Sembilan Golf Master Invitational 2010 and 2011.

CONTRIBUTIONS IN EDUCATIONAL FIELD

Kuala Lumpur Metro Group has set up an academy in Balik Pulau, Penang for the needed and underprivileged to study and learn there. It is also regarded as a community center for people of different races and ethnical background to gater, exchange ideas and information for greater understanding and cooperation.

HOLY MONTH CELEBRATION WITH SPIRIT OF GIVING

In conjunction with the Festival of Lights, Lexis Hotel Group brought cheer and joy to the occupants of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Nanthisar, Seremban. A scrumptious spread of Deepavali dishes specially made by our Chefs were prepared and fun games for the kids were conducted by our Sports & Recreational team led by President Ms Mandy Chew. Lexis Hotel Group also handed out Deepavali ‘Ang Pow’ along with groceries and other festive delicacies so that they may celebrate this festive season with joy and happiness.

BREAKING FAST WITH CHILDREN BY SPREADING JOY AND HAPPINESS

To commemorate the spirit of giving , Lexis Hotel Group hosted a charity breaking of fast dinner with 65 children under the care of Pertubuhan Asnaf Murni , Bandar Sri Sendayan and Pertubuhan Baitul Mahabbah , Seremban at Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson. The children were entertained with dance performances , a Sunset Cruise Ride , along with the surprise visitation of celebrity songstress , Salamiah Hassan. Lexis Hotel Group , headed by its President Ms Mandy Chew , also handed out ‘ Duit Raya ‘ along with hampers filled with festive goodies to each andevery child , so that they may celebrate this festive season with hearts filled of joy and happiness.

LEXIS HOTEL GROUP BRINGS FESTIVE JOY TO PERTUBUHAN KEBAJIKAN IHSAN

In conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the children of Pertubuhan Anak Yatim Al-Khair, Sikamat and Pertubuhan Anak Yatim Darul Aminan, Ampangan were grateful as they were treated to an unforgettable outing at Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson last night. The children had fun playing at Kidz World and trying their hands on various activities such as archery, giant snake & ladder and ninebot Segway. Delectable dishes were prepared by our chefs and Lexis Hotel Group also handed out ‘Green Packets’ along with hampers to the children so that they may continue to celebrate this festive season with full of blessings and happiness.

Lexis Port Dickson, Grand Lexis Port Dickson and Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson distributed 300 packed ‘Buka Puasa’ delicacies to four Police stations located at Lukut, Teluk Kemang, Pasir Panjang and Marine Police at Port Dickson. Food was also distributed to Bomba stations at Lukut, Port Dickson and Teluk Kemang area.

The menu was specially selected and prepared by respective chefs from the three resorts and packed by staff who volunteered for this project. At Lexis Hotel Group, we are proud to encourage our employees to participate in voluntary work through CSR activities especially during the month of Ramadan

IN CONJUNCTION WITH CHINESE NEW YEAR

In conjunction with Chinese New Year, the management and staff of Lexis Hotel group comprising of Lexis Port Dickson, Grand Lexis Port Dickson and Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson paid a visit to Rumah Sejahtera Jimah, Lukut, Port Dickson. Laughter filled the air as everyone did the prosperity tossing of ‘Yee Sang’ and feast on the delectable dishes prepared by our Chefs. Lexis Hotel Group also handed out ‘Angpow’ along with groceries and other festive delicacies so that they may celebrate this festive season with joy and happiness.

DEEPAVALI CELEBRATIONS

In conjunction with the upcoming Deepavali celebrations, Lexis Hotel Group brings cheer and joy to 35 occupants of Pusat Kebajikan Makkel Illam, Seremban. They were treated to a delectable spread of Deepavali dishes specially prepared by our Chefs, as well as Deepavali ‘Angpow’ and groceries.

EVERY DROP MATTERS

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson in association with Hospital Port Dickson arranged a blood donation campaign within the hotel premises earlier this year. The main objective of this campaign is to support the Ministry of Health’s efforts to sustain the provision of blood in its blood bank.

Lexis Hotel Group celebrated the Lunar New Year with 20 senior citizens from a retirement home. They enjoyed a Chinese-style lunch prepared by the hotel, the tossing of “Yee Sang”,“ang pow” and goodie bag giveaways by Mr. Peter.

A FUN-FILLED WALK

Starwalk, organised by major daily The Star Publications, has long been regarded as one of the premier sporting events in Penang. Besides promoting a fun-filled family sporting activity, it also encourages a healthy lifestyle. The previous year event attracted a record number exceeding 22,000 participants from local and foreign tourists; this year’s volume of participation will be no less astounding.

In conjunction with Starwalk’s 40th edition, Lexis Suites Penang is proud to be associated as one of the sponsors for the walk. Winners will stand a chance to win stay and spa packages from the hotel.

A DAY WITH NATURE

Lexis, Grand Lexis, and Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson collaborated with Jabatan Alam Sekitar Negeri Sembilan in organising an event ‘A Day With Nature’ in conjunction with Earth Day recently.

Officiated by TB Dato’ Haji Abu Ubaidah bin Dato’ Haji Redza, Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Bertindak Kemudahan Awam, Alam Sekitar, Koperasi dan Kepengguraan Negeri Sembilan, the event aims to promote better understanding and care for mother nature within our community. Participants were taken for a boat cruise and acquired a better understanding of the In Situ measurement of sea water which was explained by the officials of Jabatan Alam Sekitar Negeri Sembilan.
